WorkHorse Roofing / Cookies & tracking

Cookie policy

What this website stores in your browser,
why, and how to change it.

Effective date: September 16, 2026

01 / What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, let a website remember a setting between visits. This policy explains which of these workhorseroofingtx.com uses, what they do, and how you can control them.

This policy is part of our privacy policy. Where the two overlap, the privacy policy describes how any personal information is handled.

02 / Cookies we use

We keep this short because the list is short. The website does not set social media or cross-site tracking cookies of its own, and it does not use cookies to build a profile of you. The only advertising-related cookies are the Google Ads and Meta (Facebook) Pixel cookies described below, and they are set only if you allow marketing cookies.

By default the only item the website stores in your browser is your cookie preference itself. When you choose an option in the cookie notice, we save that choice (for example, “essential only”) in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask you again on every page. It contains no personal information and expires after 12 months or when you clear your browser data.

The inspection request form does not set cookies. The details you enter are sent directly to the WorkHorse team as described in the privacy policy.

03 / Analytics without cookies

We use self-hosted Umami analytics to understand which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and what browsers and devices they use. Umami’s standard tracking does not use cookies and does not store raw IP addresses in analytics records. It cannot identify you personally and is not shared with advertising networks.

If you choose “essential only” in the cookie notice, the analytics script is not loaded at all.

04 / Marketing cookies (Google Ads and Meta)

We advertise on Google. The website runs the Google Ads tag (gtag.js) and Google Tag Manager in Google’s “consent mode”. Until you allow marketing cookies, these tags may only send cookieless, anonymous signals to Google (for example that a request was submitted after an ad click) and set no cookies. If you allow marketing cookies, they may set Google cookies such as “_gcl_aw” and “_gcl_au” for up to 90 days, which let Google recognise that a visit came from one of our ads and record when that visit leads to an inspection request. Google may process this data under its own privacy policy.

We also advertise on Facebook and Instagram. If you allow marketing cookies, the website loads the Meta Pixel, which may set Meta cookies such as “_fbp” and “_fbc” for up to 90 days and send Meta technical data about your visit, the pages you view and whether you submitted an inspection request, so Meta can measure which of our ads lead to requests. Without your marketing-cookie consent the Meta Pixel is not loaded at all. Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy.

You can switch marketing cookies off at any time in cookie preferences. After a successful inspection request the website shows a confirmation page with a random request number; that number contains no personal information and is used only to avoid counting the same request twice.

05 / Third-party resources

Fonts are served from this website, so your browser does not contact a font provider to display our pages.

Links to financing partners, manufacturer sites, and review platforms take you to those providers’ websites. They may set their own cookies, which are governed by their own policies and are outside our control.

06 / Managing your preferences

You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of every page, or open cookie preferences now. Choosing “essential only” stops the analytics script from loading and keeps the Google tags cookieless and the Meta Pixel switched off on future visits.

Your browser settings also let you block or delete cookies and local storage, and privacy tools can block analytics or third-party resources. Blocking those resources may affect how the website appears or functions, but the inspection request form and phone and email contact will still work.

07 / Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when website features, the tools we use, or applicable requirements change. If we start using a new type of cookie, we will update this page and ask for your choice again where required. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
